چکیده

Context. The early-third Gaia data release (EDR3) parallaxes constitute the most detailed and accurate dataset that currently can be used to determine stellar distances in solar neighborhood. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvement their calibration systematic effects further reduced some circumstances. Aims. aim of this paper an improved EDR3 parallax bias as a function magnitude, color, ecliptic latitude using single method applied stars open clusters, globular Large Magellanic Cloud, Small Cloud. Methods. I study behavior residuals or differences between individual (stellar) group parallaxes, which are assumed constant corresponding cluster galaxy. This was done by first applying Lindegren et al. (2021b, A&A, 649, A4) zero point then calculating new from analysis. Results. shows very small magnitude G > 13 but significant ones brighter stars, especially blue ones. reduces those residuals, 9.2 < range. k factor convert catalog uncertainties external (1.1–1.7) 11 13, intermediate (1.7–2.0) large (>2.0) 9.2. Therefore, corrections needed calculate distance stars. There if future analyses add information additional red with also calculated RUWE values 1.4 8.0 six-parameter solutions, allowing correct estiimation uncertainties.

Young Clusters in the Magellanic Clouds II

We present the results of a quantitative study of the degree of extension to the boundary of the classical convective core within intermediate mass stars. The basis of our empirical study is the stellar population of four young populous clusters in the Magellanic Clouds which has been detailed in Keller, Bessell & Da Costa (2000). The sample affords a meaningful comparison with theoretical scen...

VLT-FLAMES observations of young stellar clusters in the Magellanic Clouds

We introduce our VLT-FLAMES survey of massive stars in the Galaxy and the Magellanic Clouds, giving details of the observations in our younger fields in the LMC and SMC. In particular we highlight a new O2.5type star discovered in N11, and Be-type stars in NGC 346 with permitted Fe II emission lines in their spectra. We give an overview of the distribution of spectral types in these fields and ...

Old and Intermediate-age Stellar Populations in the Magellanic Clouds

The Magellanic Clouds have galactocentric distances of 50 and 63 kiloparsecs, making it possible to probe the older populations of clusters and stars in some detail. Although it is clear that both galaxies contain an old population, it is not yet certain whether this population is coeval with the date of formation of the oldest globulars in the Milky Way. The kinematics of this old population i...

Multiple stellar populations in Magellanic Clouds clusters . ⋆ I . An ordinary feature for intermediate age globulars in the LMC ?

Context: The discovery of multiple main sequences (MS) in the massive clusters NGC 2808 and Omega Centauri, and multiple subgiant branches in NGC 1851 and NGC 6388 has challenged the long-held paradigm that globular clusters consist of simple stellar populations. This evolving picture has been further complicated by recent photometric studies of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) intermediate-age...

The Magellanic Clouds Photometric Survey: the Large Magellanic Cloud Stellar Catalog and Extinction Map

We present our catalog of U , B, V , and I stellar photometry of the central 64 deg area of the Large Magellanic Cloud. Internal and external astrometric and photometric tests using existing optical photometry (U , B, and V from Massey’s bright star catalog and I from the near-infrared sky survey DENIS) are used to confirm our observational uncertainty estimates. We fit stellar atmosphere model...
